Here 24/7 first launched in April 2014 after a year of planning and preparation and a lot of hard work from a committed group of community partners. Although Here 24/7 is housed at CMHA Waterloo Wellington, we work on behalf of the local addictions and mental health system and our community partners.
When we launched in 2014, we were overwhelmed by the volume of people reaching out. In our first year we served 11,996 people across Waterloo Wellington. We worked hard to improve our response times and to get people connected to the care they needed.
Since 2014, demand for services continues to grow and we do our best every day to keep up. In our last fiscal (Apr 1, 2022 – Mar 31, 2023) we answered 59,124 calls and served over 12,000 people.
We continue to adjust and adapt our service to meet the needs of our community. We are honoured to have an amazing staffing team who are here to support you, 24/7.
