CMHA WW Service: CMHA WW offers a recovery-based supportive housing service that combines support with housing to promote successful tenancies for individuals experiencing significant mental health issues and are at risk of housing instability.
Dunara Homes for Recovery Services: In partnership with Thresholds homes and supports, Dunara provides intensive support to individuals in Guelph with serious mental health issues who are living in subsidized housing. Through ongoing support and crisis prevention, utilizing the Recovery approach we assist persons to achieve their recovery goals including living as responsible tenants.
Dunara also operates a psycho-social rehabilitation program for adults who are experiencing chronic psychiatric issues. We provide supportive accommodations for a total of 7 men and women, 18 years of age or older. Supervision is provided 24/7 and preference is given to applicants from Guelph, Wellington, Waterloo Counties. Referrals will be accepted from all mental health agencies and health professionals. Interested individuals apply voluntarily and pay for their living expenses (rent and food) with the program being funded by the Waterloo-Wellington LHIN. Dunara is committed to building personal strengths, coping abilities and fostering an optimum degree of independence through residential life skills and community resources.
Thresholds Homes and Supports Service: Thresholds Homes and Supports provides subsidized accommodations through agency-owned properties and partnerships with private and non-profit sector landlords. Housing options range from shared furnished homes to single apartment units, all of which offer private bedrooms. All individuals housed with Thresholds receive a range of ongoing support services from 24 hour support to monthly contact as required.
