Homewood Health Centre Service: Individual counselling for youth with substance abuse issues. Homewood Community Addiction Services (CADS) provides community out-patient addiction counselling for individuals and families struggling with addiction issues. CADS is client-focused and works closely with the community to provide quality programming and services. Counselling services are available on an individual, family and group basis and focus on the responses to alcohol and drug problems. In addition, staff will: facilitate and co-ordinate contact with community resources, maintain a supportive relationship with the individual and family, and provide follow-up services after discharge from treatment. Includes outreach at local high schools.
Ray of Hope Service: Ray of Hope’s Community-Based Treatment is offered in community settings such as home and school within Waterloo Region and surrounding area. This highly individualized program is for youth aged 12 and up. Community Treatment is designed for youth who:
- Need some help with substance abuse or addiction related concerns but who either don’t need or are not ready to consider more structured programs like Day or Residential Treatment; or
- Are transitioning home from Residential or Day Treatment and would like follow up support.
